ADOPTED 2021

NAME: BONNIE
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
GENDER: Female (spayed)
AGE: 5yro (?)
WEIGHT: 65#
COLOR: Black, docked tail and cropped ears

BIO: Please meet Bonnie. Bonnie was found by a State Police person running loose with her accomplice, that we have appropriately named Clyde. When the police person pulled over and opened the car door, they both very willingly hopped into the squad car. They were found just before Christmas and surprisingly no one has stepped forward looking for them. We donít know her correct age, nor do we know if Clyde is a sibling or not. We are guessing they are both around five years young. Bonnie is smaller than Clyde and not as sure of herself as he is. When I went to the shelter to get them, I was met with tail wags, and sloppy kisses. She is very well behaved, very gentle taking treats and walks well on a leash. They were both phenomenal passengers on the long ride home. They only got up to change positions and occasionally look out the window. She is house trained, UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro-chipped with a life-time registration. Bonnie gets along well with other dogs, loves children and adults. Bonnie knows basic commands and just wants to be cuddled with. Even though Bonnie and Clyde were found running together, we do feel they could be separated and each go to a home where they can receive unconditional love and attention. So, if you are looking for a new friend and companion to cuddle with, Bonnie could be your girl. Bonnie is currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues. We do not know if she is cat friendly or not, so we will assume she isnít.

**UPDATE: Bonnie was adopted by a very loving woman (repeat offender) that has adopted from us previously in Ferndale, MI. Bonnie was full of sloppy hugs and kisses when she met her new Mom. Bonnie is going to be her new forever Momís velcro dog.

NAME: CHICO
BREED: Chihuahua mix
GENDER: Male (neutered)
AGE: born approx. 11/27/20
WEIGHT: 10#
COLOR: Tri-color (brown, black, white)

BIO: Well, hello there. Please meet Chico. Isnít he just about the cutest little thing you have laid your eyes on in quite a while? Chico was rescued along with his brother out of a cardboard box in a parking lot by a young man that couldnít keep him, but couldnít leave him with the person getting rid of him. Chico gets along great with other dogs and cats, as long as they want to play or cuddle. Because Chico is so tiny, you would have to be extremely careful of him around small children. Not because he would harm them, but he is so fragile they could very easily ďbreakĒ him. Chico is crate-trained and pretty much house-trained. His Foster Mom is working on that, but he will need some positive reinforcement in that area. Chico just loves to cuddle and be loved. He is young enough that you can train him to be the perfect little gentleman that you want. Chico is very loving and easily trainable. Because of his age and size, he would be best suited with children at least 10 years of age or older. Chico is UTD on all vaccinations, on heartworm preventative and micro-chipped with a lifetime registration. Chico is currently being fostered in Almont, MI. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues

**UPDATE: Chico was adopted 4/24/21 by a fantastic family in Belleville, MI. Chico not only has a new Forever Mom & Dad, but also has a new Min Pin brother and sister to keep him company.

NAME: COCO
BREED: Yorkshire Terrier
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: born 2/9/12
WEIGHT: 11 #
COLOR: Cream and Gray

BIO: Hi there, please meet Coco. Coco was surrendered to us by a woman that had adopted her from a rescue a couple of months prior. The reason given is that she was too needy. Coco is house-trained, crate trained, UTD on all vaccinations and heart-worm negative. So, if you are looking for that special little someone to complete your family, Coco could definitely be the puzzle piece your family has been looking for. She is so loving, loyal and attentive and just needs to go to a family that can appreciate her and want to love and care for her as much as she wants to love them. She loves everyone, kids, dogs and cats. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Coco is currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues

**UPDATE: Coco was adopted 7/8/21 by a very loving family from Huntington Woods, MI. This family previously adopted one of our rescues, Snickers, in 2019. Here is the adoption picture, Coco is in the middle and Snickers is on the end.

NAME: DIESEL
BREED: Shepherd/Border Collie/Shiba Inu mix?
GENDER: Male (neutered)
AGE: born approx. 9/30/20
WEIGHT: 35#
COLOR: Tri-color (brown, black, white)

BIO: Hi there, please meet Diesel. Diesel was found running loose a few weeks ago. After checking to make sure that no one was looking for him, the people that found him decided to surrender him to us so that he could get a loving forever home. Diesel was a filthy, scared, malnourished bag of bones when we took him in. He was infested with worms and after being on antibiotics and worm medicine for a couple of weeks, he now has a clean bill of health and is looking for his forever home. Diesel is crate-trained and house-trained. Because he is so bouncy and energetic, he would be best suited with at least a 30-50# canine playmate. Small dogs make him very nervous and he appears to be afraid of them. Diesel is very loving and easily trainable. Also because of his age and bounciness, he would be best suited with children at least 10 years of age or older. Diesel is UTD on all vaccinations, on heartworm preventative and micro-chipped with a lifetime registration. So if you are looking for a loving and loyal companion to enhance the love in your family Ė Diesel could be just what you are looking for. He walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Diesel is currently being fostered in Almont, MI. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues. We donít feel Diesel would do well with cats because he is a little too interested in playing roughly with them.

**UPDATE: Diesel was adopted 5/15/21 by a fabulous woman in Royal Oak. Diesel not only has a new Forever Mom, but also has a new Forever Grandmother and Aunt that both have dogs for him to play with.
NAME: CLYDE (renamed PERRY)
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
GENDER: Male (neutered)
AGE: 5yro (?)
WEIGHT: 85#
COLOR: Gray, docked tail and cropped ears

BIO: Please meet Clyde. Clyde was found by a State Police person running loose with his accomplice, that we have appropriately named Bonnie. When the police person pulled over and opened the car door, they both very willingly hopped into the squad car. They were found just before Christmas and surprisingly no one has stepped forward looking for them. We donít know her correct age, nor do we know if Bonnie a sibling or not. We are guessing they are both around five years young. Clyde is larger than Bonnie and not is very confident of himself. When I went to the shelter to get them, I was met with tail wags, and sloppy kisses. Clyde is very well behaved, very gentle taking treats and walks well on a leash. They were both phenomenal passengers on the long ride home. They only got up to change positions and occasionally look out the window. Clyde is house trained, UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro-chipped with a life-time registration. Clyde gets along well with other dogs, loves children and adults. Clyde knows basic commands (i.e. sit, down, shake) and just wants to be loved and played with. Even though Bonnie and Clyde were found running together, we do feel they could be separated and each go to a home where they can receive unconditional love and attention. So, if you are looking for a new friend and companion to cuddle and play with, Clyde could possibly be your guy. Clyde is currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues. We do not know if he is cat friendly or not, so we will assume he isnít.

**UPDATE: Perry (formerly named Clyde) was adopted 1/18/21 by a fantastic (repeat offender) family in Centerline, MI. Perry is just what Dr. Feelgood ordered to help ease the pain of them losing their beloved Penny last year to osteosarcoma. Perry was just full of big sloppy kisses and couldnít get close enough to either one of his new forever parents. Another match made in heaven.

NAME: FRANKIE
BREED: Cane Corso (Mastiff)
GENDER: Male
AGE: born 7/27/20
WEIGHT: 78#
COLOR: Gray brindle, docked tail, natural ears

BIO: Hello everybody, my name is Frankie. I was surrendered by my Dad because he fell on hard times and we ended up being homeless. I was all he had and he, very tearfully and lovingly, surrendered me so that I could have a better life. I am one big velvety hunk of burning love. I am very well behaved, very gentle taking treats and I walk well on a leash. I am house trained, UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro-chipped with a life-time registration. I get along fantastic with other dogs, I love children and adults and I love to play. Because of my size, I would be best suited in a family with no young children that I could easily and accidently knock over. I know basic commands (i.e. sit, down, shake) and just want to be loved and played with. Cuddling and belly rubs are my favorite things in life. So, if you are looking for a new best friend and loyal companion to cuddle and play with, look no further, I am your guy. I am going to be a big boy, so my accommodations will have to be accordingly. I am currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues.

**UPDATE: Frankie was adopted 4/13/21 by a fantastic family in Roseville, MI. They are very well versed in the Mastiff breed. Frankie will be joining their two Dachshunds, Chili Bean (12yro) and Blossom (1yro). This was a match made in heaven.

NAME: MINION
BREED: Boxer (possible mix)
GENDER: Male (intact)
AGE: 1/16/21
WEIGHT: 9.9## (on 2/23/21)
COLOR: Flashy Fawn, natural ears and tail

BIO: Please meet sweet little Minion. Minion was rescued by a good Samaritan that noticed the vehicle in front of her toss four puppies out of the window as they were getting on the expressway. She immediately pulled over and picked the puppies up out of the snow. Two of the puppies died upon impact with the ground, one died in route to the vet hospital and little Minion survived with some minor trauma and scrapes. Minion has been wormed, micro-chipped (with a life-time registration) and has received all of his applicable puppy shots. Because he is so young, the adopter will be required to sign a Neuter Contract and put down a Neuter deposit prior to adoption. Minion is just the cutest little thing. He is house trained and crate trained. Minion gets along with everyone and everything, as long as it will play with him. Minion is looking for a home that does not have real small children. He still has his puppy teeth and they are as sharp as razors. Minion loves to play, go for walks, especially loves cuddle time. Minion is currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues.

**UPDATE: Minion was adopted by his entire caregiverís family. They have always had boxers and fell madly in love with this little guy. Couldnít have found a better, more loving home.

NAME: PARKER
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
GENDER: Male (neutered)
AGE: 2/24/20 (approx.)
WEIGHT: 54# (intake) 75# (present)
COLOR: Black, natural ears, docked tail

BIO: (Top pics are when we took him in, bottom is how he looks now and with his new forever family). We received a call from the Detroit Police Department this past February. They picked up a Bouvier that was running loose in traffic dragging a tow chain that was secured around his neck with a padlock that required a key to open it (a bolt cutter was used to remove it). They called to see if we would take him and we said - absolutely. He is docked, natural ears, jet black. He weighed 54# when they picked him up. He was dehydrated, starving and tested heart-worm positive with no microfilaria present. He was an absolute mess, but very friendly. They opened up the squad car door and he jumped right in. I have pictures that you wouldn't believe. When we got him to the vet he threw up pieces of plastic, paper plates, styrofoam, wire, rocks, you name it, but no food. He was ravenous. Because he was so emaciated, we had to bring his weight and health up before we could neuter him and do the heartworm treatment on him. As of 6/17/21 he now weighs 71.9# and looks fantastic. He is very puppyish and just wants to play. Parker gets along fine with people (prefers females) and young adults. We had to keep him quiet and quarantined for 60 days in between his heartworm treatments and we received the ok on him on the 17th. He will have to be heartworm tested every year and MUST be on heartworm preventative every month for the rest of his life. Even though they are treated for heartworm it can show back up in the blood as long as six years later (which I just found out). Other than that, he is a good boy, house trained, knows basic commands, walks fairly well on leash, rides well in a car. Parker is not for the faint at heart, he is very rambunctious and can be a handful. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues. Especially Parker, because he is going to be a runner. Being chained up all his life, then because of the pandemic having to be quarantined for four months for his heartworm treatments, it is no wonder. He runs like a gazelle, but is like a bull in a china shop. Currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI.

UPDATE: Parker was adopted 7/13/21 by a wonderful family in Clinton Twp, MI. They are repeat offenders and just recently had to say goodbye to their beloved Ceela (adopted from us in 2014). Parker has a huge, completely fenced in yard that is impeccably landscaped. Parkerís new Mom loves to walk and this will be right up Parkerís alley.
