NAME: Andy BREED: German Shepherd (purebred) GENDER: Male (intact – too young to neuter yet) AGE: 7 weeks young COLOR: Tri-color WEIGHT: 14# BIO: Hi there, my name is Andy. I was surrendered to SCBR because my family could no longer keep me. They forgot how much time and attention a little puppy requires. Am I not the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen? I am playful, energetic, loving and smart. I am working on being house trained by my foster Mom and am crate trained. I get along great with everyone and everything as long as they are able to keep up with me. I would do great in any family as long as the children were not toddlers because I am still teething and am rambunctious enough that I could possibly knock them over or trip them unintentionally. I am UTD with my age appropriate vaccinations and cannot be neutered until I am six months old. Whoever adopts me will have to sign a neuter agreement and agreement to keep me UTD on vaccinations and heartworm tests & preventative. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me (we will not accept electric or invisible fences). I am currently being fostered In Imlay City, MI. **UPDATE: Andy was adopted 7/20/14 by a very loving and compassionate family in Rockford, MI. His new Mom and Dad couldn't wait to come and get him. He not only has a new forever Mom & Dad but also has an older GSD sister to teach him the ropes. |

NAME: BAYLEE BREED: Catahoula Leopard Dog mix GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: 1yro (approx) COLOR: Two-tone Brown on white WEIGHT: 49# BIO: Please meet Baylee. Baylee was found stray in the Flint, MI area. Because of her very unique and distinguishable markings the vet as well as we agree that Baylee is definitely a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. She is drop dead gorgeous, housetrained, very intelligent, eager to learn and please and very energetic. Baylee gets along fantastic with other dogs (large and small), children and adults. Baylee has been spayed, heartworm tested and UTD on all vaccinations. These pictures do not do her justice - you would have to see her in person to appreciate how gorgeous and unique her markings are. Most likely one of her parents were some sort of a Bully breed. Please do not let this steer you away from considering adopting Baylee. You couldn't ask for a better personality or demeanor. She is so loving, very obedient and catches on quickly. With a little TLC and training you will get a phenomenal friend and life-long companion. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues (we will not accept electric or invisible fences). Baylee is currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. **UPDATE: Baylee was adopted 9/20/14 by a phenomenal woman in Clintonville, WI. It was a match made in heaven. It was heartbreaking to see her leave our facility because she had been with us for quite a while waiting for just the "right" person to come along. The wait was well worth it because we couldn't have found a more loving and compassionate person to be Baylee's Forever Mom. |

NAME: BUFFIE BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Born 3/17/03 COLOR: Black/gray brindle, docked and cropped WEIGHT: Between 75-79# BIO: On New Years Day we received a call from a gentleman whose mother had just passed away. She had two Bouvier sisters since they were pups and was wondering if we could help. His Mother had evidently fallen at home and the three of them were there all alone for at least three days without food or water. She was taken to the hospital, they were taken to their vet to be checked out, re-hydrated and fed. They both stayed until the vet felt it was safe to transport them to a boarding facility, where they would be cared for while their owner was in a rehab center. Regretfully their owner passed away so we took them into our rescue. Their time at the boarding facility was running out, they had both been there for over a month. A decision had to be made as to what their future would be. They needed someone to spend their golden years with. They were both very loving companions to their former owner and we did not feel that their reward should be euthanasia just because of their age. Everyone at the vets office, boarding facility and friends just loved both these girls to death. None of the family members were able to take them in. They were pulled out of Grand Rapids on 1/16/14 and we brought them into our facility in Imlay City, MI. Originally we were looking for a home for both of the girls together, regretfully Abbie passed away in her sleep in mid-May. We are now looking for that very "special" family that will love and care for Buffie. For her age, Buffie is still fairly active when she goes out to play in the yard. (Not as active as a puppy, but age-appropriately active). She does not do well on stairs. Buffie is UTD on all vaccinations, housetrained and ready to go home with someone that will love her unconditionally. She gets along fantastic with all the dogs at our facility (big and small). Buffie loves to cuddle and get attention. She is an absolute love bug. With all the chaos, shuffling around and loss that she has endured in the past couple of months - you couldn't ask for a more well-adjusted girl. Please go to our website: www.secondchancebouvrscue.com and fill out an on-line adoption application, ONLY if you are genuinely interested in adopting this sweet girl. We are looking for that "special someone" that will give her the love and care that she is so deserving of. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues. (no invisible or electric fences will be considered). **UPDATE: As of 6/18/14 Buffie has been officially adopted by her caregiver and will remain at SCBR’s foster facility for as long as we are blessed to have her with us. With all that Buffie has been thru in the last year, we have decided to do right by her and not adopt her out. She has been jostled around more in the past year and has seen more tragedy and heart-break than one could expect to endure in a life-time. She loves her caregiver and family and is perfectly content being the “princess”. |

NAME: CASEY BREED: Black Labrador Retriever GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Born Oct of 2013 COLOR: Black WEIGHT: 45# BIO: Hi there, my name is Casey. I was surrendered to rescue because my previous owners didn’t feel they had enough time to spend with me. I am 8 months young, house-trained, crate-trained and absolutely love children and other dogs. I spent a lot of time in my crate. I came from hunting stock out of the Metamora area Hunt Club. I love to swim and play with the other dogs where I am being fostered. I am great in the house, very alert and eager to please. I do sit on command but still need some training. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. If you are looking for a phenomenal friend, loyal companion and playmate – look no farther – I am the girl of your dreams. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues (we will not accept electric or invisible fences). So if you can find room in your heart and home I would really appreciate your considering me for adoption. I am currently being fostered in Almont, MI. **UPDATE: Casey was adopted 6/13/14 by a very loving family in Dearborn Hts, MI. It was not only her new Forever Mom's Birthday but also two days before her Forever Dad's Fathers Day. It was a win-win situation all the way around for everyone. Casey spent her first night at home in bed with her new family and is adjusting astonishingly well. |

NAME: CEELA BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Born 7/2/10 COLOR: Silver/Gray brindle, docked tail, natural ears WEIGHT: 65# BIO: Ceela was surrendered to us by a family in East Lansing, MI. They surrendered her to us because they have a very small child and felt she was too clingy and protective of them. Ceela is housetrained, UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm tested (negative). Ceela gets along well with other dogs and with people once she has been properly acclimated. Ceela is a real "velcro" dog. She would like nothing more than to be by your side 24/7, lovingly talked to and to be petted. She tends to be easily startled when it comes to sudden movements and loud/strange noises. She is a real cuddler and would make the right person a very loving and trusting companion. Because of the terrible weather none of our rescues have been able to run and play freely with each other, but she has had the opportunity to mingle with some of the other rescues and has not shown any aggressive behavior towards them. She loves to just "hang out" with her caregiver when she is doing her chores (she makes a real good supervisor). Ceela is obedient if she is spoken to in a calm voice but gets upset and will withdraw if she is spoken to harshly. Ceela would be best suited with a family that has older children and in an environment that isn't chaotic. You cannot just rush up and cuddle with her, you have to give her time to adjust to you and then she is perfectly fine. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt ANY of our rescues (we will not consider or accept electric or invisible fences). Ceela is being fostered in Imlay City, MI. Not cat friendly. **UPDATE: Ceela was adopted 2/15/14 by a fabulous family in Clinton Twp, MI. They are re-peat offenders that have adopted from us previously. Ceela not only has hernew loving forever home, but also has an older sister, Rylee, who was also a rescue. |

NAME: Chester BREED: German Shepard (mix) GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Born 9/22/11 COLOR: Tri-color (Brown, sable & white) WEIGHT: 70# BIO: Hi there, my name is Chester. I am being surrendered to rescue because my Mom is unable to take care of me any longer and wants me to get a new loving forever home like I deserve. I am housetrained. I love to play ball and go for walks. I am really good on a leash. I know basic commands. I am energetic and I want to learn and to please my owner. I get along well with other dogs and would make an outstanding companion for someone to walk with, or just sit around and watch TV. Because of my size I would be best suited with older children. I get along fine with people. So if you are looking to open your heart and home to a handsome fellow – please consider adopting me. I am UTD on vaccinations and heartworm negative. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. I am currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. Never been around cats, so am assuming not cat friendly. **UPDATE: Chester was adopted 10/17/14 by a very loving woman in Owosso, MI. She just recently had to say goodbye to her beloved Golden Retriever, Katie |

NAME: Copper BREED: English (Llewellin) Setter GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: 6 months young COLOR: Orange & White WEIGHT: 35# BIO: Hi there, my name is Copper. I was surrendered to SCBR to find my new forever home. Am I a handsome boy or what? I do have good hunting potential. I am not gun-shy and will point grouse feathers. I am housetrained and crate trained. I get along great with other dogs, older children and adults. I am young, attentive and obedient enough that you will get out of me whatever time and training you are willing to put into me. I am UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm tested (negative) and vet checked. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me (we do not accept electric fences). I am currently being fostered in Almont, MI **UPDATE: Copper was adopted 10/26/14 by a very loving family in Gaines, MI. NAME: Cooper BREED: Border Collie/Australian Shepherd (mix) GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Born 5/17/11 WEIGHT: Approx. 45# COLOR: Brown, black & white BIO: Please meet Cooper. Cooper was put into a boarding facility in August of last year while his owners were in the middle of moving. He was only supposed to be there for three months. Regretfully his owners decided they could no longer care for him so he was surrendered to us. Cooper is house trained. He gets along fine with people, cats and other animals. Because of his high energy, he needs a home that he has the freedom to herd and have someone work with him on a daily basis. Cooper would most likely be very good in agility because of his energy and willingness to learn. He would make a good companion to a family with motivation and drive and that likes to be outdoors so he could remain active with them. Cooper is UTD on all his vaccinations and heartworm negative. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues. Cooper is currently being fostered in Almont, MI. **UPDATE: Cooper was adopted 3/18/14 by a very loving family in Toledo, OH. The middle and bottom pictures were taken with Cooper's new forever Dad on adoption day. Cooper made the ride home without incident and has already met his new little Yorkie/Doxie brother, Simba. |

NAME: CUDDLES BREED: Pomeranian (mix) GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Born 5/15/06 COLOR: Cream, Beige, Brown WEIGHT: 9.6# BIO: Hi there, my name is Cuddles. I was surrendered to rescue because my owners are moving to the West Coast and regretfully are unable to take me with them. I am 8yrs young, house-trained, crate-trained and love children and other dogs. I DO chase cats, but if the cat stops – so do I. Please excuse the hairdo but I was extremely matted and had to be cut down short in order to be bathed and groomed. My worst habit is that I will chase cars. I am completely UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. I am a fabulous little girl and am just looking for someone to hold me and love me, I am a real cuddler. Because of my size and my bad habit of wanting to chase things bigger than I am, I cannot be taken outside without being on a leash – except when in a completely fenced and secured yard. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues (we will not accept electric or invisible fences). So if you can find room in your heart and home (I promise, I won’t take up that much space) I would really appreciate your considering me for adoption. I am currently being fostered in Almont, MI. **UPDATE: Cuddles was adopted 6/6/14 by a very loving family in Almont, MI |

NAME: Dream BREED: Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Born 1/16/05 COLOR: Blue Merle WEIGHT: 32# BIO: Hi everybody, my name is Dream. I am a retired show dog. I was sold to a family when I was three years old because I could not be bred and make my owners money. This family kept me for six years and decided to give me up because they were moving and couldn’t take me with them. Everyone remarked how gorgeous I am but backed away when they found out my age. They were just going to dump me at a shelter but someone with a big heart heard about it and was kind enough to save me and place me with Second Chance Bouvier Rescue. I am not a Bouvier, but SCBR has had tremendous success in finding homes for all the dogs that they have taken in. I am completely housetrained, get along fantastic with dogs, cats, children and people in general. I am not a barker. Even though I am almost ten I still have quite a bit of pep in my step. I walk well on a leash and would make a fantastic companion for anyone willing to open their heart and home to a dog that is willing to give them all the love and devotion imaginable. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. I am currently being fostered in Almont, MI. **UPDATE: Dream was adopted 12/20/14 by a very loving and compassionate Sheltie lover in Farmington, MI. Her Christmas cap must have given her good luck because she will now be in her new forever home for Christmas. Dream also will have an 11yro Sheltie sister to welcome her with open paws and show her the ropes. |

NAME: GRETA BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Born 8/26/12 COLOR: Black/gray brindle, docked tail, natural ears WEIGHT: 89# BIO: Greta was adopted by a wonderful woman (see adopted 2013) last year. We received a call from the woman’s son letting us know that his Mother had been taken to the hospital two months after Greta had been adopted. The son and his wife had been taking care of Greta for over four months and was unable to continue caring for her. They had been patiently waiting to find out what the outcome was going to be with his Mother and didn’t want to make any decisions regarding Greta until they found out. Regretfully Greta’s Mom would not ever be able to take care of Greta if and when she ever came home from the hospital, so they called us to see if we would take her back into our rescue. Greta was brought to my house a couple days before Memorial Day and I decided to keep her here until we were able to bring her out to our facility. Greta got along fine with my two Bouviers, Captain and Stella, and have been best buds since meeting. Greta is still terrified of strangers. It took me two hours to be able to get close enough to her to unsnap her leash from the collar. Originally we were going to put her back up for adoption but decided that it wouldn’t be in her best interest. It seemed like every time she let her guard down and made up with another person her world was pulled out from underneath her. She gets along great with any other dogs, it’s just humans that she doesn’t trust. **UPDATE: Greta was officially adopted by me on 5/24/14. For two days she barked at me and ran away from me every time she saw me or every time I moved. She has since become my best buddy. It only took her two days to learn how to climb up and down my stairs. When she finally learned that all my dogs always sleep upstairs in bed with me, she is now the first one in to get the best spot. She has learned how to play with toys and absolutely loves to race around the back yard and play with her older brother and sister. I went from six adopted rescue Bouviers down to two in less than two years and vowed I would not take on another for quite a while. Well, after much soul-searching I realized that Greta needed me as much as I needed her. So Greta has found her new forever home in Westland, MI. This is how she looks now. The bottom picture is of Greta with her older sister Stella.. |

NAME: HEIDI BREED: Shetland Sheep Dog (Sheltie) GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: 8 years young COLOR: Sable WEIGHT: 35# BIO: Hi there, my name is Heidi. I was surrendered to SCBR along with my sister Holly because my owner passed away suddenly (about 15 months ago). We have been together since birth and we are really, really keeping our paws crossed that there is someone out there that is willing to adopt the two of us together. We were never exposed to anything or anyone, never socialized, just loved and over-fed. For the past 15 months we have been with a wonderful family being socialized, loved and cared for. When this wonderful family took us in we were very obese (about 30# overweight) and could barely get around. Because of their love, exercise and a proper diet, we are now ready for our forever home. We are fairly quiet, house trained, crate trained (even though we don’t really stay in one very long). We are ok with cats (they are supposed to be chased, right???) and ok with other dogs and older children. Out of the two of us, I am a little more independent. I also have more of the herding instinct than my sister Holly, and am more in tune to running things and more active on walks. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. If you are looking for a couple of companions to love and to spend your time with, look no further. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt us. I am currently being fostered in Almont, MI. **UPDATE: Holly & Heidi were adopted 11/14/15 by a loving and caring family in Shelby Twp, MI. Can you tell how bonded they are and that they were ready to go to their new forever home? |

I am quite content just laying on my blanket and being loved. I do have a little problem with my hips and I cannot do stairs very well. This is most likely due to all the excess weight that I carried around for so long. I am not as active as my sister Heidi, but I do get around quite well. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. If you are looking for a couple of companions to love and to spend your time with, look no further. NAME: SCOOBY BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Born 1/27/12 COLOR: Black, docked tail, cropped ears WEIGHT: 73# BIO: Scooby was surrendered to us by a family in Midland, MI. His original owners lost their home in a fire. He was then taken in by a family that drove a semi-truck and Scooby went everywhere with them. As much as he was loved and as fantastic as he is, regretfully he "outgrew" his truck riding accommodations and they decided he needed much more room than they were able to supply him with. Scooby is housetrained, UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm tested (negative) and gets along fantastic with everyone and everything. Scooby is a real cuddler. Scooby loves to play with other dogs and people, to go for walks, he rides exceptionally well in a vehicle. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues (we will not accept electric or invisible fences). Scooby is currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. UPDATE: Scooby was adopted 1/18/14 by a fantastic family in Redford, MI that has had three previous Bouviers, and has been waiting quite awhile for number four. Scooby now has two female Pug sisters and everyone is getting along just great. |

NAME: SCOUT BREED: Yellow Labrador Retriever GENDER: Male AGE: Born 1/11/14 COLOR: Yellow WEIGHT: 45# BIO: Hi there, my name is Scout. I was surrendered to SCBR because my family could no longer keep me. I get along great with young children. I am still a little timid around large men – but my foster family is helping me to adjust. I am playful, energetic, very attentive, inquisitive, loving and smart. I am house-trained and crate trained. I get along great with everyone and everything as long as they are able to keep up with me. I would do great in any family as long as the children were not toddlers because I am still a little rambunctious and “puppy brained”, enough that I could possibly knock them over or trip them unintentionally. My foster family is currently working on my leash training. I LOVE to play, especially with my cloth Frisbee. I am UTD on all my vaccinations and have been neutered. I have been heartworm tested (negative) and on heartworm preventative. I am a really good boy and would make a wonderful companion and addition to your family. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me (we will not accept electric or invisible fences). NAME: SMOKEY BREED: Labrador Retriever mix GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Born 5/2/13 COLOR: Black w/white chest blaze and no tail WEIGHT: 65# BIO: Smokey is a Black Lab (possible mix) that was surrendered to us by a family in Lapeer County, MI. We were told that the mother had puppies, and they sold the other pups and gave Smokey away to a family member. The family member kept Smokey tied outside without any shelter and he was not fed, watered or cared for properly. Needless to say Smokey managed to get loose and was picked up by Lapeer County Animal Control. The owner was contacted but refused to come in and get him up to date on vaccinations, neutered and to bail him out. A volunteer felt sorry for Smokey and took him home to foster. We questioned the fact that his tail appeared docked and were told, when we took him to our vet to be vaccinated and neutered, that he was born without a tail - he had never been docked. Smokey is an absolute love. He is housetrained and gets along great with other dogs, children and people in general. He loves to play. Because he is so young he will have to acclimate to his new surroundings and schedule. Smokey is a beautiful and friendly boy and has so much to offer to his new family as far as love and companionship. In person Smokey looks like his fur is black patent leather. He is going to be a big boy when he finishes growing. (Smokey was adopted by a family with a 6yro son, but regretfully had to be returned Smokey because their child had a severe pet allergy. They did everything they could with their vet and pediatrician to see if there was anything they could give their son so they wouldn’t have to give Smokey up. Regretfully there wasn’t. It broke everyone’s heart because they had all fallen in love with Smokey. So now Smokey is again looking for his forever home. Smokey will give the right family all the love and companionship they could possibly dream of. Can you find the room in your heart and home for Smokey? The previous adopters said he was just perfect in every way and turned out to be very affectionate and a real snuggle-buddy). You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues (we will not accept electric or invisible fences). Smokey is currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. Not sure how he would be around cats. **UPDATE: On 4/26/14 Smokey was adopted by a fantastic family in Dearborn, MI. Smokey's prayers (and ours) were finally answered because now Smokey not only has a caring and loving new forever Mom & Dad but he also has three wonderful children to love and play with. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect family for Smokey |

NAME: TEDDY BREED: Shih-tzu/Bichon Frise mix GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: 7 years young COLOR: Cream on white WEIGHT: 23# approx. **THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING: If you are interested in adopting Teddy please contact Sanilac Scoopers aka Making Miracles Animal Rescue at: www.petfinder.com/shelters/MI730.html or email: RescueMe93@yahoo.com** BIO: Hi there, my name is Teddy. I was surrendered to rescue because my Dad was diagnosed with a terminal illness and requires a sterile and quiet environment. I am housetrained, crate trained, walk well on a leash and get along great with adults. My crate is actually my palace and I don’t mind being crated for short periods of time. I am very loving and smart and would love to spend my time sitting on your lap or just hanging around with you. I do love to play and I really miss all the one-on-one time that I used to receive from my loving parents. Due to the circumstances, my Mom has her hands full trying to take care of and make my Dad as comfortable as possible. I really, really miss all the hugs and kisses that I used to get before my Dad got so ill. For that reason my Mom decided I would be better off going to someone that could share their life, love and experiences with me. I’m a really good boy, I just don’t understand what has happened and am having a hard time dealing with my losses. If you are looking for a small companion to share your heart and home with – please consider me. I come with an endless amount of licks and kisses, more than you could possibly imagine. I would be best suited in a family without small children, other dogs or cats. I am not cat friendly. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. It Is preferred that you have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. **UPDATE: Teddy was adopted 7/24/14 by his foster Mom. |

NAME: BOGIE (formerly Jabba) BREED: Bouvier des Flandres GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Born April 2012 COLOR: Gray brindle, docked tail, natural ears WEIGHT: 65# BIO: Hi there, please meet Jabba. He was surrendered to a shelter in the Upper Peninsula when his owner passed away. When surrendered he weighed almost 100# an d looked fantastic. Due to the amount of time that he was kept in a crate/kennel he has lost a third of his weight. Jabba is a tall boy and should easily weigh between 95-100#. Right now he looks almost anorexic – you can see and feel almost every bone in his body. Jabba is an absolute love when on a leash or with people. Due to his excessive confinement he cannot be crated or kenneled, he will thrash and throw himself against the walls and chew on the fencing trying to gain his freedom. Because of his confinement he is not good with other dogs or animals. Once he is out of his kennel he gives kisses, hugs and just wants to be your second skin. We are looking for that special family that is willing to give Jabba the love and attention that he craves and that he will return to them two-fold. Jabba is too young to have had to endure the solitary confinement that he has been forced to endure through no fault of his own. Jabba is housetrained, UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro-chipped. With the right family, patience and understanding, in time he may be accepting of other animals and kenneled for a short period of time – however, until that time comes we feel it is in his best interests to be an “only child”. He is very capable of jumping a standard cyclone fence with little or no hesitation, so if you live next door to another dog, there is a strong possibility that he will scale your fence and possibly hurt that animal or himself. When it comes to people and older children he is an absolute marshmallow. Jabba does not like loud noises, yelling etc. when he is confined and becomes very antsy if he is not with a person. He does ride well in a car and is completely satisfied just being with the people he loves. His caregiver and her entire family is head over heels with Jabba and as hard as it will be to see him go, they are looking forward to the day that Jabba gets his very own forever home. So if you are lonely, looking for a loving companion, are patient and understanding and there is not a lot of chaos or distraction in your home, Jabba is the answer to your prayers. Jabba is NOT cat friendly. You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt any of our rescues (we do not accept electric fences). Jabba is currently being fostered in Imlay City, MI. **UPDATE: Yogi was adopted 10/18/14 by a very loving and compassionate couple from Beckley, W Va. The meeting couldn’t have gone any better. Yogi greeted his new forever Mom and Dad with open paws and nuzzles and kisses. They have been successfully owned by Bouviers for years. Wherever they go, Yogi will go – which is exactly what Yogi needs. We couldn’t be happier at the new forever parents that Yogi adopted. |

NAME: Zurrie BREED: German Shepherd/Husky Mix GENDER: Female (spayed) AGE: Born 4/30/13 COLOR: Black and tan on white WEIGHT: approx. 30# BIO: Hi everyone, please meet Zurrie. Zurrie has been surrendered because her former family had to move from a large farm into an apartment and she is not a happy camper being cooped up in such a small space for such a long time. Zurrie has good manners for being so young, but does still have a lot of her “puppy” energy. Zurrie is desperately looking for a stable and secure home where she can run and frolic like she used to on the farm. Zurrie gets along great with other animals, children and adults. Don’t know if she is cat friendly or not. She is beginning to display some signs of separation anxiety from lack of attention and companionship. Zurrie was raised with kids, cats and other dogs and does well with all of them. She is housetrained, crate trained, UTD on all her vaccinations. She is as cute as a bug, very intelligent and obedient. If you have room in your heart and home Zurrie would love for you to consider adopting her. She is full of love and just needs someone to share it with. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard (not electric or invisible) in order to adopt any of our rescues. Currently being fostered in Almont, MI. **UPDATE: Zurrie was adopted 4/7/14 by a very loving family in Canton, MI. Zurrie not only has a new forever Mom & Dad, but also two young children that she can grow up and play with. |
