ADOPTED 2009

NAME: Abbey
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
GENDER: Female (spayed)
AGE: Born March 2002
WEIGHT: Approx 90#
COLOR: Silver/Gray brindle, docked tail, cropped ears
BIO: Hi, my name is Abbey. I was originally surrendered to rescue because my family had to relocate and couldn't take me with them. I was then adopted in 2008 by a wonderful gentleman that had another Bouvier named Nic. Due to the economy we lost our home and my Dad had to relocate to a small apartment and I could not accompany him. My Dad was devastated but wanted what would be best for me so he surrendered me back to the rescue. I am housetrained, UTD on all vaccinations and tested heartworm negative. My foster Dad said that I am a complete love and just want to be around people who are willing to love me in return. I am a very strong girl and would require someone stronger than myself if we were going for a walk. Otherwise, I am perfectly content running around the yard and playing with my favorite people. These are not the best pictures of me but I will be freshly bathed and groomed prior to going to my new home. Because I was raised around men I would be best suited in a family with men in it - or a family that has alpha female members. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. I probably am not cat friendly. I am being fostered in Dryden, MI.
**UPDATE: Abbey was adopted 9/19/09 by a very loving family in Westlake, OH. This wonderful family also adopted Addison and Hunter from us. Regretfully Hunter (renamed Donner) passed away suddenly just recently and Addison needed a new companion.

NAME: Barry (renamed BearBear)
BREED: Portuguese Water Dog mix (possibly w/Standard Poodle or Bouvier)
GENDER: Male (neutered)
AGE: 6/15/2004
WEIGHT: Approx 60#
COLOR: Black w/white markings, natural ears and tail
BIO: Hey there, my name is Barry. I was surrendered to the Humane Society this past April because my owners said they could no longer afford to keep me. When I was surrendered to the Humane Society I was a filthy matted mess. They had to shave me down completely in order to bathe me and figure out if I was a male or female. Because there wasn't a lot of information supplied by my former owners, a lot of my personality had to be decided by the Humane Society. Because they had me for two months, everyone fell in love with my loving and playful manner. They do not feel that I am completely housetrained - but that is hard to tell in a shelter situation. I love giving kisses and going for walks. I am desperately looking for a place to call home and some people that I can share my love and companionship with. I am anxiously waiting to hear from any and all interested parties :-) I am UTD on all vaccinations and tested negative for heartworm. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. I am being fostered in Dryden, MI.
**UPDATE: Barry (Bear Bear) was adopted on 10/11/09 by a very loving and compassionate family from Toledo, OH. Ironically Barry's name WAS Bear when we picked him up at the shelter - but because we already had two dogs named Bear that were available we renamed him Barry. BearBear not only has a new forever Mom & Dad but also has two four-legged companions, Zeus and Benji, and two junior female masters. BearBear did not care too much for the ride home, but everyone just loves him to death.

NAME: Bear
BREED: Labrador Retriever
GENDER: Male (neutered)
COLOR: Black
AGE: Born 3/1/03
WEIGHT: 81#
BIO: Hi there, my name is Bear. I was originally surrendered to SCBR along with my sister Pepper (a yellow Lab). I used to live in northern Michigan. I came from a very loving home with a nice big backyard. Due to health problems, my Mom had to give us both up because she had to move into an apartment and they would not allow her to keep us there. I am gentle, but a big boy. I do walk well on a leash. I am fabulous with children. I am completely housetrained and will obey commands. I was adopted by a wonderful family along with my sister - however I was returned because I jumped a standard 4' fence. I didn't run away, but the neighbor didn't like me being in his yard uninvited. My second family loved me, and I loved them and it broke everyone's heart when I had to come back to rescue. But they couldn't take the chance of me getting loose and being hit by a car - so tearfully we all had to say goodbye to each other. If you are looking for a companion that really needs you - please consider opening your heart and home to me. You must have a completely fenced & secure yard (preferrable 6'). I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. Not cat friendly.
**UPDATE: Bear was finally adopted 11/4/09 by a wonderful family in Almont, MI that just recently had to say goodbye to their elderly Black Lab. This was a very happy day for everyone, especially Bear. He has been patiently watching the new rescue come and go for the last two years and finally it was his turn. Bear is such a wonderful boy, we knew the right person would eventually come around.

NAME: Chance
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
GENDER: Neutered
AGE: Born 8/1/07
WEIGHTS: 85#
COLOR: Black brindle, natural ears and tail
BIO: Hello there, my name is Chance. I was rescued from the Genesee County Animal Shelter. I was found as a stray and my owners were contacted - but never came to save me. It’s no wonder, they were probably afraid they would be charged with animal cruelty and abuse. As much as I hated being crated at the shelter for two weeks, I am glad my former owners didn’t come for me. Because of my deplorable condition, I was not going to be put up for adoption - and we all know what that would have meant. That is why the rescue decided to call me Chance - because they wanted to give me the chance to be adopted by a loving caring family that would never let this happen to me again. I had to be bathed before they could even transport me because I was so filthy, smelly and matted. I was an absolute gem to bathe. For a dog to have gone through what I obviously did, to be kept in a crate for two weeks and then be taken out by two complete strangers and bathed - everyone said I was remarkable. I am very obedient and will do anything for you. He walk very well on a leash and love to give kisses and to be hugged. This picture were taken right after I was bathed, (I am still wet as you can tell ). The shelter thought I might have a flea allergy with regard to the lack of hair and irritation on my lower back - but after being checked by a specialist to make sure exactly what the problem was, they came up with the same conclusion. I crate well and get along with everyone. I also get along well with other larger dogs. I appear to have a high prey drive and do not do well with smaller dogs. They think I am housetrained because I did not mess in my crate. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. Whoever decides to open their heart to me is getting a real diamond in the rough. Since being on the medication for my flea allergy, my skin has cleared up and my hair has grown in. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. I am not cat friendly. I am currently staying in Dryden, MI.
**UPDATE: Chance was adopted 12/31/09 by a fantastic family in Ashley, IN. Chance not only has a new loving forever family, but also has a 6yro female sister (also natural ears and tail :-) named Sadie. What a wonderful way for Chance to start the New Year off.

NAME: CoCo
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
GENDER: Female (spayed)
COLOR: Black, docked & cropped
AGE: 18-24 months
WEIGHT: 76#
BIO: Hi, my name is CoCo. I was found running loose in a snow storm in Indianapolis, IN. A wonderful family picked me up and took care of me until SCBR could make arrangements to come and get me. Because of the weather, I was pick up from them and brought down to N Vernon, IN where I was loved, fostered, vaccinated and spayed. Then another wonderful family was kind enough to transport me up to the MI/IN border where SCBR was finally able to bring me up to their foster home in Almont, MI. I am housetrained, crate trained and know all kinds of commands. I am a very energetic and loving girl. I am UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and not cat friendly.

NAME: COLE (renamed MUKWA - Ojibway for Bear)
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
GENDER: Male
AGE: Born 12/26/08
COLOR: Black brindle, natural ears and tail
BIO: Hi, my name is Cole. I was surrendered to rescue because the owner of my parents could not afford to keep us. I was surrendered along with my sister
. **UPDATE: Cole was adopted 2/20/09 by a very loving family in Fenton, MI that recently had to say goodbye to their beloved Bouvier, Kuma. Cole not only has a new forever Mom & Dad, but also an Airedale sister to love him and keep him company.

NAME: Jake
BREED: Yorkshire Terrier
GENDER: Male (neutered)
AGE: Born 2/14/08
COLOR: Black & tan, docked & cropped
WEIGHT: approx 6#
BIO: Hi, my name is Jake. I was obtained as a puppy and surrendered to rescue because my new family found they just didn’t have enough time for me. I am 75% housetrained, and also crate trained. My foster mom says I am a GREAT little boy. I love kids, squeaky toys, and I especially love to cuddle. Because I am so tiny and breakable I would not be suitable for a family with young children. I really need a stay at home mom with older children to play with, or even another small dog to keep me company. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. I am currently being fostered in Almont, MI.

** If you are interested in any of our dogs - PLEASE DO NOT CALL - instead please go to our website: WWW.SECONDCHANCEBOUVRESCUE.COM and fill out an online adoption application. ** You MUST have a completely fenced and secure yard - no exceptions will be made. **
**UPDATE: Jake was adopted 2/13/09 by a very loving family in Macomb, MI.

NAME: Jake
BREED: Yellow Labrador Retriever (AKC)
GENDER: Male (neutered)
AGE: Born 11/8/01
WEIGHT: 67# COLOR: Very light blonde with fantastic yellow markings
BIO: Hello everyone, my name is Jake. I am being surrendered by my family because my owner is pregnant with their third child and due in weeks. That will make three babies under the age of three years old and they don't feel they will be able to give me the attention that I have been used to and that I really have been missing. I am truly a one of a kind beautiful family dog. I love all living creatures and just adore children. I am a well-trained house dog that likes to where the people are and I love to cuddle. I am a retired show dog that comes from a wonderful line of labs. I am microchipped and have always been carefully maintained and loved. Both of my parents were certified to be free of hip and joint problems. I am allergic to wheat (it causes ear infections) and have not been given human food, so my treats must be chosen carefully. I have done well on Nutro and Diamond Lamb & Rice formulas. I cannot be kept outdoors or in a crate - I need to be where the family is. I would make a great, loving companion for any family. I am housetrained and obedience trained (I come with a list of commands and hand signals). I am a very gentle dog. I do not play ball, I don't like to fetch. I figure if you throw it, then it is your responsibility to go and get it if you want it back so badly :-) I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. I am currently being fostered in Almont, MI.
**UPDATE: Jake was adopted 11/8/09 by a wonderful family in Almont, MI.

NAME: Kiko Man
BREED: Jack Russell Terrier
GENDER: Male (neutered)
AGE: 3yro (estimate)
WEIGHT: 11#
COLOR: White with black & brown patches
BIO: Hi there, my name is Kiko Man. I was found wandering the streets as a stray. My foster Mom for lack of a better name started calling me Kiko Man - and I really like it :-) I was pretty dirty when I was found but cleaned up real good - didn't I? I am looking for someone to love and cherish me and shower me with affection - as I will do for them in return. I am a high-energy breed that needs someone with enough time to work with me - I wouldn't even mind getting into agility. I would be best suited in a family with no young children and a family with knowledge of my breed. I do get along with other dogs my size. I have not been obedience trained, from what they can tell, but I am very smart and very eager to learn. I am house-trained, crate trained, UTD on vaccinations and heartworm negative. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. Not cat friendly.
**UPDATE: Kikoman was adopted 3/6/09 by a loving family in Farmington Hills, MI. Kiko not only has a new forever Mom and Dad but also a JRT brother to play with.

NAME: Lenny (renamed Pluto)
BREED: English Springer Spaniel (mix?)
GENDER: Male (neutered)
AGE: approx 18 months old
WEIGHT: 35#
COLOR: White w/black markings
BIO: Hey there, my name is Lenny. I was abandoned on a country road by my former owners and taken in by a wonderful foster family in Almont, MI. I was a filthy, smelly mess and had been given a real "hack job" of a haircut. They had to have me shaved down in order to bathe me and make some sense of the prior hair cut I had received. My foster Mom says that I am just the perfect dog and she can not figure out why anyone would have dumped me off. I am perfectly content just hanging out in the same room with you or following you around the yard. I am housetrained, I do have manners, I do not jump on you, I sit when told, get back when told and I come when called (for the most part) - which is pretty good since no one knew my real name when I was found. If you gently scratch my ears and neck. I will rest my head on your leg and soon after my eyes will be shut. I get along fantastic with everything and everyone. I just LOVE to play with people, other dogs, toys (especially tennis balls), and I even get along well with cats. I am a really nice size. I have absolutely NO hunting ability or interest in hunting. My foster mom says I am just a super boy and would be the perfect addition to any family that is looking for a loving companion. I love giving kisses and going for walks. If you are looking for a small to medium sized companion to light up your life and be your faithful companion, then look no further - I am your guy. I am UTD on all vaccinations and tested negative for heartworm. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me.
**UPDATE: Lenny was adopted 7/23/09 by a wonderful family in Royal Oak, MI. Lenny not only has a new family, but also has a new big brother named Sasquatch that was also adopted from us in 2002.

NAME: Loki (renamed Avery)
BREED: Dachshund/Chihuahua mix (aka Chiweenie)
GENDER: Female spayed
AGE: Born 7/30/08
WEIGHT: 9.4#
COLOR: Black, brown and white
BIO: Hello everyone, my name is Loki. I was surrendered along with my brother Remo by my previous owners due to the loss of their jobs and home. Am I not just the cutest and most loving little dog you have ever seen? These are new pictures that my foster Mom took just in case you forgot how cute I looked in my original pictures J I am crate trained, pee pad and housetrained. I love to play and get things going. I will run around in circles until I can get one of the other dogs to chase me. I love to be held and cuddled. I like to run over to my foster Mom and put my legs on hers and give her that pitiful “save me, save me” look - so I get picked up and cuddled. Since being fostered I have been well socialized. I make a good watch dog, I will definitely let you know if someone comes to the door. I love toys and chewy things, I am not a picky eater. I am UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and I get along well with other dogs and cats. Because of my small stature, I would be the perfect addition to a family that doesn’t have any really small children. I am very playful and I bond quickly. I need to go to a home where there is not a lot of chaos and noise. I am perfectly happy laying on your lap or being held like a baby. Since my brother was adopted I have become even more attached to my foster Mom. I like nothing more than to just hang around with while she does her chores. Everyone was interested in me and no one wanted my brother. Wouldn’t you know, he found a loving home - and here I am just waiting for you to come and adopt me. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me. I am currently being fostered in Almont, MI.
**UPDATE: Loki was adopted 12/24/09 by a fantastic family in Garden City, MI. Loki will be in her new home for Christmas with her new loving forever Mom, Dad, two sisters and a brother

NAME: Mia
BREED: Doberman Pinscher mix
GENDER: Female (spayed)
COLOR: Black & brown w/white chest blaze, natural ears & tail
AGE: 2 years young
WEIGHT: Approx 50-55#
BIO: Hi, my name is Mia. I was surrendered by my family due to the health problems of one of the family members. They didn't feel they had enough time to devote to me. I was rescued because I was such a good girl and my time at the shelter was up. I am housetrained, and grew up in a household with cats, dogs and children. However, since being in rescue it has been decided that I would be better off without cats. I am a dominant girl and want to establish this by postureing immediately after meeting a new dog. I get along fine with my foster mom's three dogs, so there is a possibility I could get along with another dog but it depends on their personality as well. I am very affectionate and love to play. Could you possibly find room in your heart and home to adopt me? I am UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me.
**UPDATE: Mia was adopted 12/3/09 by a very loving family in River Rouge, MI. The bottom picture is of Mia with her new brother Nitro getting ready to go home.

NAME: Petey
BREED: Labrador Retriever (black)
GENDER: Male (neutered)
COLOR: Black
AGE: 3yro
WEIGHT: approx 65#
BIO: Hi, my name is Petey. I was found running loose not too far from the rescue farm in Dryden, MI. I am housetrained and crate trained. I have not had a single "accident" since I was rescued. I kennel very well, all you need to do is tell me to "kennel up" and I hop right into my crate. I get along with other dogs and puppies, male or female. I have a very kind temperment, I love to play ball and play with squeeky toys. I really love to go for car rides. My only fault is that I love to be with you all the time. I would make a wonderful companion for children or other dogs. I am very willing to please and I just want someone to love me. Would you like to start my New Year off right by making room in your heart and home for me? I promise to shower you with all the love and attention you could ever imagine. I may get along with cats, depending on the cat. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me.
**UPDATE: Petey was adopted 2/27/09 by a very loving family in Westland, MI, that recently had to say goodbye to their beloved Gunnar. Petey not only has a new loving forever Mom & Dad, but also has a little girl to love and play with.

NAME: Raissa
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
GENDER: Female
AGE: Born 12/26/08
COLOR: Black brindle, natural ears and tail
BIO: Hi, my name is Raissa (which means Believer in French). I was surrendered to rescue because the owner of my parents could not afford to keep us. I was surrendered along with my brother, Cole.
**UPDATE: Raissa was adopted 2/14/09 by a very loving family in Niles, MI. Raissa not only has a new forever Mom & Dad, but also a 4yro Labradoodle brother named, Bailey.

NAME: Remo (renamed Primo)
BREED: Dachshund/Chihuahua mix (aka Chiweenie)
GENDER: Male, neutered
AGE: Born 7/30/08
WEIGHT: 11.6#
COLOR: Black and brown
BIO: Hello everyone. This is Remo who was surrendered along with his sister Loki by his previous owners due to loss of jobs and their homes. Remo is just the cutest and most loving little dog you have ever seen. Originally because he and his sister had been together since birth we thought we wanted to see them both go to a loving home together. However after having them for a week we realized that they both have their own personalities which do not emerge unless they are separated. Therefore we have decided that it would be in their best interest if they were adopted out separately, in the right home where they could get the love and attention they so desperately need. Remo has more of the Dachshund personality. He is crate trained and housetrained. He is a cuddler, much more than his sister Loki. He does have his moments when he is a bit rowdy - but they are few and far between. He is quick to settle down and is very content to have his tummy rubbed. He gives kisses generously. He is very thankful to have a full tummy and a warm place to sleep. Remo is a little more independent than his sister. He loves to explore and sniff everything. We can see him being an only dog and not really minding it. He is fine with other dogs his size - but does not seek them out. He is going to bond with his new owner forever and be content to watch TV on the sofa, on your lap, preferably under a blanket, all day long. Remo is UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and he gets along with other dogs and cats. Because of his small stature, he would be the perfect addition to a family that doesn't have small children. Remo is very playful and bonds quickly. He needs to go to a home where there is not a lot of chaos and noise. He is perfectly happily laying on your lap or being held like a baby. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt this little cutie, or willing to guarantee us that he will never be outside off leash or unattended for any reason. Remo is currently being fostered in Almont, MI.
**UPDATE: Remo (renamed Primo) was adopted 12/5/09 by a very loving and caring family in Westland, MI. Remo not only has a new forever home, but a Chihuahua mix named Ittie and an 11yro cat for a new brother and sister. Remo took right to their 15yro son named Jason, as well as to the rest of the family.

NAME: Ripper
BREED: Padderdale Terrier (aka Fell Terrier)
GENDER: Male (neutered)
COLOR: Chocolate brown
AGE: Born 11/9/07
WEIGHT: 22 lbs
BIO: Hi there, my name is Ripper. Am I gorgeous or what? I was originally purchased to be a "stud" dog. In the beginning I was not housetrained and had absolutely no social skills because I lived in a crate. When I was 1yro I was adopted by a family that spent a lot of time housetraining, socializing me and loving me. I am an indoor dog and my breed is known for hunting and catching small prey such as: squirrels, chipmunks, groundhogs, etc. I am little, cute and have a great personality, but do not like to be treated like a toy dog ( i.e. dressed up or carried around in a doggie bag). I have lived with a Boxer, I am a great watch dog, I get along with people, other dogs (not cats) and am now housetrained. I was surrendered because my owners had a new baby and I don't do well with young children. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. I am currently being fostered in Livonia, MI. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me.
**UPDATE: Ripper was adopted 11/30/09 by a wonderful family that has Patterdales.

NAME: Rose
BREED: Scottish Terrier mix
GENDER: Female (spayed)
AGE: Born 6/9/08
WEIGHT: 18#
HEIGHT: 10 inches at withers
COLOR: Black w/white markings
BIO: Well hello there, my name is Rose. My foster mom says I am just as cute as a bug! I was surrendered by my original owner because she had gotten me and my sister and with her full time job didn't feel she could adequately give me the time and love that I deserved. I am housetrained and crate trained. I get along great with and LOVE playing with all size dogs and people. It would be great if I could find a home with another dog that I could play with. I get along fine with children. I am fairly well trained and know quite a few commands. My former mother lovingly wrote an indepth letter to accompany me to my new home, to help my new Mom and Dad. I am UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. I am cat friendly, I will chase them to play, but will stop if they do. I am currently being fostered in Almont, MI. You must have a completely fenced in yard in order to adopt me.
**UPDATE: Rose was adopted 5/2/09 by a wonderful family in Belding, MI.

NAME: Sadie
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres/Labrador Retriever mix
GENDER: Female (spayed)
COLOR: Black, natural ears and tail
WEIGHT: approx 85#
AGE: Born 1/28/06
BIO: Hi there, my name is Sadie. I was originally surrendered by a family in Wyandotte, MI because I was the last pup left from an OOPS breeding. My Mom is a purebred Bouvier, my Dad a purebred Black Lab. My Dad came over to "play" with my Mom when my owner wasn't home - and here I am!!! I was adopted out to a family in Garden City, MI when I was five months old. I was returned to SCBR two years later because they were experienceing some problems and I needed to find a new home. These pictures were taken at the groomers, don't I look pretty? I am a rough and tumble kind of girl. I love to play and to be played with. I am housetrained, but will need a little time and supervision to adjust to my new homes schedule. I am a very quick learner and eager to please. I am very smart, I know more than I let on that I know. I can give you that "picture of innocence" look when you catch me doing something that I know I shouldn't be doing. I do get along with other dogs that are visiting, but would prefer to go to a home where I would be the only four legged companion. I bond very quickly and would prefer to have all the attention. Could you find room in your heart and home for me? I promise to lavish you with all the love and kisses you could possibly want. I am UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, not cat friendly. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard in order to adopt me.
**UPDATE: Sadie was adopted 2/20/09 by a very caring and loving family in Garden City, MI. She has already made her self at home with her new forever Mom and Dad, and is easing some of the pain they are experienceing since they lost their beloved Bouvier, Shadow, whom they adopted from us in 2000.

NAME: Sam
BREED: Cairn Terrier
GENDER: Male (neutered)
COLOR: Blonde and White
AGE: 12 years young
WEIGHT: 23.2#
BIO: This is sweet little Sam. He is a very young 12yro that is desperately looking for a new forever home. Sam lost his Dad last December, and his Mom, who has been gravely ill in the hospital, passed away this morning (12/3/09). Sam is very well behaved, but will bark. He is used to being in a home with older people, but is good with children and good around cats. Sam is housetrained and crate trained. He absolutely LOVES to play with toys. He is so active it is unbelievable that he is as “young” as he is. Things are really "up in the air" for poor little Sam. The son and his wife don't want him, but the daughter does and she also has major health issues. If we are able to find the right home for Sam she would be perfectly fine with letting him go. Sam just recently had his teeth cleaned, he was bathed and groomed the day these pictures were taken (11/28/09), he is UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, perfectly housetrained. Sam has always been very well cared for and very much loved. Sam is on Phenobarbital twice a day due to being and epileptic, and has been for a while to prevent seizures. This is a very inexpensive medication but well worth the cost and effort. You would never know that Sam was as old as he is and just had his annual wellness blood screen done on 11/19/09 - everything is normal and the vet's note was "Sam's tests look great". We would prefer that he went to a home with a completely fenced and secure yare - but would possibly consider bending our rules if he was never left off-leash when out of the house. Please won't you consider opening your heart and home to this wonderful little guy - he needs you as much as you need him. He is just devastated and can’t understand why his world has been turned completely upside down. He is currently being fostered in Westland, MI, by his long-time groomer, that has known him for years.
**UPDATE: Sam was adopted 12/17/09 by a very loving woman in Plymouth, MI.

NAME: Tobey
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
GENDER: Male (neutered) AGE: Born 08/06/08
WEIGHT: 60-65#
COLOR: Black, docked tail, natural ears
BIO: Well hello there, my name is Tobey. I was tearfully surrendered by my very loving family because they not only lost their jobs, but also our home. I am very well housetrained and crate trained. I get along with all dogs and absolutely adore playing with children. I walk very well on a leash and love to lay on your feet while we are relaxing. I am heartworm negative, microchipped and UTD on all vaccinations. There is a possibility that I may be cat friendly but because I am so young and playful - not all cats would appreciate my energy. You must have a completely fenced and secure yard to adopt me.
**UPDATE: Tobey was adopted 5/4/09 by a very warm and loving family in Plainfield, IN, that had previously lost their other two beloved Bouvier rescues. It was love at first sight for all three of them. Tobey could not have picked a more loving home.
